We leave today to meet our new daughter Sembete. We’ll be able to see her tomorrow evening when we arrive in Addis.  By the time we get to the orphanage she might be sleeping already but we’re told the nannies can quietly sneak us in to look at her.  I can’t believe today is HERE!!!!!!! We’ve waited so long for this and it seems this actual day has snuck up on us. I can’t say enough about the agency we’re using – Wide Horizons for Children – and all of the families we’ve met who have either adopted already or still have yet to go.  And thank goodness for my own family.  God bless grandparents and loving aunts and uncles.

Here’s darling Kai.  I couldn’t get enough of his concerned look as he wrinkled his brow.  He chilled like this for a good 5 minutes looking around and checking things out.  And he has this little 50’s hair style going on.  You guys have a charmer on your hands.  Congratulations!
